Photoshop 2 Class Final Portfolio Overview - Two more pieces

This was my last piece I did for my portfolio. It is another compositing layout. Each thing you see is a separate photo pieced together.

This is an illustrative piece I had to include. We had to take a drawing we have done and then illustrate it in photoshop. Not my favorite thing to do in photoshop, but I think it turned out nice.

Form & Space

This was a 3D class trying to help us think outside the box.

This was a Serial Plane project. We were to take a shape and then break it down into planes. Here is my inspiration: a classic glass decanter.
This is the computer mock up of the estimated size curve size.
Final Project...with removable top
This was a simple take home project. Take paper strips and create something. The first one I did in class looked horrible. This is the new one I did after sitting down in my studio and just knocking it out. The base is a thick mat board (11x17).
Spatial Cell project. I did not get a picture of the final but here is the computer mock up. This was also the second attempt...the first one is so bad it makes me cry and laugh when I think about it.
This was a group project where we had to do a full size cardboard cut out. This was the base. I did not get a picture of the final, but it has a black bar over the "censored" area and a tie that was hand painted by a classmate to say "it's my birthday".
The last project in this class was package design. I do not have pictures of the final products and point of purchase display but I will as soon as it goes up for display. My product was girl fishing equipment...called hook, line and sinker. Here is the logo.

Yet another re-design - this one for digital Imaging

Our teacher wanted to test our Photoshop skills for our final. He had us take a CD cover and redesign it to change the type of music. I took the classic guns n roses and turned it into a hip hop album.

AFTER

Kering - Design Term defined

Typography class final - our teacher assigned each of us a word in which we had to come up with a five by five design showing off that word. The top one was the winner..the store was megaflicks, but as you can see...the space ***err*** kerning - redesigned the stores sign.

Here is the much more boring layout...

Observational Drawing Final

I finally took pictures of my final portrait that was put up at the school. I also took the final pics that went up of some of the other students in my class and they are very talented. We were suppose to use a mirror to draw ourselves on these large pages but during the beginning of the project, the teacher allowed us to use a pictures to draw. Please enjoy.

ME (mirror)...although my family does not think it looks like me and my teacher does...who knows.
Brandon "the badass" (picture) who is probably one of the most talented students I have run across.
Cody (picture)...very talented as well.
Deena (picture) who is a trained make up artist and very talented.
Deena also did this one of her friend which also ended up on the wall. The detail is great.
Haley (mirror..I think) I like the delicate nature of this one.
Josh (his charcoal from earlier in the course) He is also very talented and does skateboard design.
Sue (picture) she is great and I love her work. Sue also had the prof post this portfolio picture in the halls. You know how I love shoes.
This is Ben and Juan....Juan drew this but he drew it of Ben (another student) from when our teacher had us draw other students. It looks just like him.
Last but not least...
Ron (also the charcoal from earlier) very talented ..and had this one chosen to grace the walls.
I hope y'all enjoyed all of these fine artists.

Observational Drawing Update

School is about to start for the new quarter and I just returned from a cruise with my honey bunny. I finished up Observational Drawing with a 97% and realized I had not posted all of my pictures. This is more of a catch up posting. Once again....some are good and some are bad....but you have to put it all out there.

The following are a series from a still life where every student had to bring in an object and our teacher set up a still life.... we were focusing on negative space...

Contour Drawing of my hand....who knew I had such an ugly hand...:)
My studio trying to decide which drawings to put in my final portfolio project.
Beginning of our self portrait that was part of our final. This is the beginning....the final is on the wall at school.
Last...he wanted us to loosen up and not think about drawing..similar to drawing as a child, so we were told to bring in crayons and just draw...not sure where this came from but...
