Photoshop 2 Class Final Portfolio Overview - Two more pieces

This was my last piece I did for my portfolio. It is another compositing layout. Each thing you see is a separate photo pieced together.

This is an illustrative piece I had to include. We had to take a drawing we have done and then illustrate it in photoshop. Not my favorite thing to do in photoshop, but I think it turned out nice.

Digital Illustration 2 Recap

Several Pieces were created during the quarter and are at the bottom of this post, but our final was to create an illustration portfolio. We were given several requirements and we were able to use previous pieces. The next few are items I had to create for the portfolio to complete the requirements.

Magazine layout for Digital Illustation

This was our final project in Digital Illustration. We were to create a magazine layout based on the design of a real magazine. I used the magazine "The Nest". We did not have to actually write an article, but once I got started, I just kept going. I could not find content I liked, so I hand made all of the ornaments, shot the photos, wrote the text and created the layout.

Digital Illustration 3D boxes

We were asked to use the 3D tools to create a CD cover, a book and a cereal box. The cereal box was too big to mess with, but here are the others. Please keep in mind that all images are hand drawn on the computer and this is a beginner class.

Digital Illustration Tshirt Designs

We were asked to design three shirts using a cropping tool and our logos. I was not really into this project as you can tell, but I said I would post it all.
I thought my logo looked a little messy and was playing around with default brushes and came up with the idea for a painter's shirt. Like the old school house painter's clothing.
I thought my logo looked a little
My logo also reminded me of a ball of yarn, which lead to this design.
Last, we had to design a Tshirt for the school tshirt contest. Once again, not my favorite, but that was all of them.

Digital Illustration

Here are a few random things from my Digital Illustration class. We had to use certain tools within the Illustrator program to complete each project.

Here is the 3D version of the logo we created in this class. It was not my favorite project, but I said I would put everything up...good and bad.

Here is a room we had to design using perspective and extrude/bevel.
Here is a flower using blur and light.

Lightbulb using extrude and bevel.

Digital Illustration "Sprite"

We were told to make a sprite. I had not idea what it was until he showed us a pixelated Mario from Mario brothers. We were to come up with a character.

Here is what Wikepeida says about "Sprites". In computer graphics, a sprite (also known by other names; see Synonyms below) is a two-dimensional/three-dimensional image or animation that is integrated into a larger scene.
Sprites were originally invented as a method of quickly compositing several images together in two-dimensional video games using special hardware. As computer performance improved, this optimization became unnecessary and the term evolved to refer specifically to the two dimensional images themselves that were integrated into a scene. That is, figures generated by either custom hardware or by software alone were all referred to as sprites. As three-dimensional graphics became more prevalent, the term was used to describe a technique whereby flat images are seamlessly integrated into complicated three-dimensional scenes.

Logos for Digital Illustration

Here is one of my projects from Digital Illustration.

We were to make a logo using our names or initials. We had to start with at least 8 ideas, narrow it down and then do another round of ideas. We then had to submit what we thought was our best logo printed and mounted. They were all created in adobe Illustrator. Here is my process...so to speak.

First Round of logos
Second Round of LogosHere is what I turned in as my final.
