So, When we moved, we downsized. The house is much more fitting for our family size, but we lost a lot of real estate. My office is about 1/4 of the size as before and it is harder to share my desk space b/c I don't have any, so here was my solution. This is a drop leaf dining table from Ikea ( http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/28048309 ). I saw it and thought desk and as usual everyone thought I was crazy. I found one in their clearance section up by the registers and it was missing one screw and marked down to $9.99. There were two and I kick myself for not getting both on sale. So, I brought this one home, had a vision and everyone thought I was crazy. I painted it in my kooky way and then mounted it to the wall. This looks great in the guest room and is an added space for working.

This is what the table looks like folded down to give me back space when I need it.
Here is a pictures that shows how it props up (yes it is sturdy).
I had this short barstool that I had no bar for, so I thought it makes a great desk chair without being too clunky. I just mounted the desk at a height that would be good for this stool.
