Football Fan Pulls

So Jennifer installed a ceiling fan on our porch this weekend. She is quite handy, as she also worked on my garden (pics coming soon). We obviously could not reach the fan pulls, so she asked me to make her some. She asked for footballs and that is what she got.

I had left over leather scraps that I did not want to waste. I cut out two for each pull. I then used white embroidery floss to make the stitching on each football. Her favorite color is blue, so I went with the only blue ribbon I had on hand. I then glued the ribbon to the inside of one football and then added more glue and sandwiched the ribbon between the footballs. I let it dry and then tied them to the original pulls.

I want to change the ribbon to something fun and dark blue for her team (da' boys), but for now....this works.
